Give up!!! Let Jesus Take Over
It is easier said than done. We know spiritually that God is in control. It is easy to say, but harder to live it. When we have mountains to climb and rivers that we just can't cross, God will be there!! We cannot do these things on our own. We have to "Give up" and let Jesus take over. We have to put it all in his hands, get it out of ours, and let him have it.
When the load is hard to carry, we can either go around with gloom and doom and try to carry the burden ourselves, or we can give up and let the master carry it for us. Nothing is too hard for him!! We just need to give up and let Jesus take over. Psalms 55:22 tells us to cast our burdens on the Lord. We all have things we don't want to deal with and issues we have to face, but we don't have to carry them alone.
God will see us through, but we have to put self aside. We as christians often try to "help" the Lord and we also try to carry them ourselves. We want to have control and we let pride get in the way. Sometimes we feel like we want to run away or dig a hole and crawl in, but we cannot run from our problems. If we ran to the opposite side of the world, the problem would still be with us when we got there. But with God, we can let go and not have to run away from our problems.
We live in difficult times. Things are expensive.. people are losing their home... gas prices are going up, groceries are going up.... people feel burdened. There is no peace on our own, but with God, we can have peace in our hearts and in our minds. We need to Give up!!!!! and let Jesus have control.
We need to focus on him. Jesus told us if we are weary and heavy laden to come unto him and he will give us rest. Prayer lifts the load. There are two things we have to do. First, we have to pray. prayer brings peace. We have to let him know our requests. Second, we have to humble ourselves. We have to give up and quit trying to do this on our own and quit trying to do God's job for him. There is Nothing God can't do.When we give up, we have peace and rest. Does this mean our problem is automatically solved? No. It means we are allowing God to control our lives for the best in our lives. God doesn't always give us what we "think" we want. If we give up and let the control go to the Master, our lives will work the way they should with peace of mind and rest. We have to trust him and not doubt. Give up and Let Jesus have control of your life. Let him have control of the situations. Give up!!!
